We had a heavy frost all week and I took some pictures of the frost-covered evergreens in the garden on Thursday before we woke up on Friday to the most gorgeous blanket of snow. This week in both the frost and the snow, the garden absolutely sparkled! My #SixonSaturday this week from my garden is a white one!
This week has been all about new blooms which seem to have burst out everywhere!
Are your rhododendrons, camellias and azaleas looking a little tired? The chances are these acid-loving plants are in need of an ericaceous boost!
It may be a bleak time of year with dull, wet days and long, dark nights but when the sun occasionally breaks through, isn't it just fabulous to see how the green in the garden lights up?
Evergreen plants and branches are used in lots of decorations at this time of year in our homes and as their leaves retain their colour throughout Winter, they have long been symbolic of immortality and eternal life.
This is just my favourite time of the year! Leaves are unfurling and buds are swollen, ready to burst! It's the time of year when you can miss the beauty of the garden if you but blink!
Never before has it been as easy to record the progress in your garden in a visual way at the touch of a button! I cannot shout enough about the value of photographing your garden regularly!
