Compared to the fabulousness of June, July has come in wet and soggy with almost continual rain in Glasgow this week which means everything is well watered and looking very green and lush. Here's my pick from the garden this week, in between the rain, for #SixonSaturday as July streams in!
Evergreen plants and branches are used in lots of decorations at this time of year in our homes and as their leaves retain their colour throughout Winter, they have long been symbolic of immortality and eternal life.
The combination of heat and lots of rain has made the growth prolific and the whole garden is verging out of control! That said, there are always things to delight in the garden when you get out and look!
Isn't it amazing how the sunshine just makes everything in the garden look brighter? It's the beginning of July and the colours are more intense, if only we could freeze the garden just as it is right now! Here are my sunny #sixonsaturday in July!
